Inna was born on October 16, 1986 in Mangalia, Romania. She is a romanian house and dance singer. She began working with Play & Win in 2008 same year when she released the disc single "Hot".
Inna remembers her love for music even from her childhood. Her grandfather used to call her "Inna" and she decided that Inna will be her alias/stage name in the future. She used to recite and sing songs when she was younger.
At the age of 8 she started taking singing lessons from Traian Broasca. Inna had a few muzical projects but didn't get much attention.
Although she grew up in Neptun, Inna went to high school at the Economy High School in Mangalia. She continued her studies at Constanta's University where she graduated and took her BA in Political Science.
In 2009 at the MTV Romanian Music Awards held in Craiova, Inna won the best dance, best act, best show and border breaker awards making her the most succesful singer from the show. Her top singles were "Hot" and "Love". Many critics say her voice was bad during the show and that her performance left alot to desire, but she was the hottest singer on stage and set the concert on fire on her arrival.
Inna appeared in FHM magazine in July and has made a photo shoot completely naked for FHM's August edition.
She was invitated in many TV shows to sing, entertain and also talk about celebrity life and music.
She held many concerts in Romania, and also in Bulgaria, Turcia and other. She is a renown singer in Romania and performs both on stage and in various night clubs. In Poland, she performed side by side with celebrities like: Akon, Ne-Yo, Anastacia, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Pussycat Dolls and Sugababes.
Her music video "Inna - Hot" got more than 35 million views in under a year. Hot is also her first album name, with which she debuted in Poland on August 8, 2009 and in Russia on September 22 and was created by Roton and Ultra Records.
Inna was acused by many that her voice leaves alot to desire and to proove them they are wrong, Inna took the microphone and recorded herself singing Celine Dion's "Think Twice" and Pink's „Mr. President". Critics and romanian "fans" also acussed her of having little knowledge of the english language in which she sung almost all of her songs. Many fans were dissapointed when the rumors regarding her bad english turned out to be true when she was interviewed in english and posted on youtube.
